Meet The Face Behind Bistro - Pizzeria & Cafe

I’m Fauzi Azouz, the proud owner of Bistro - Pizzeria & Cafe. I look forward to sharing my story. I hope that you will enjoy getting to know me better.

From a young age, I always had a passion for cooking and could often be found learning what I could from my mum or whoever was the chef that day. Now thirty years later, I have vast experience with food production in BC, Saskatchewan, and Alberta. For the last twenty years, I have been a business owner and partner in fine dining establishments and hotels. For the last ten years, I have been working for The Canadian Sports Institute in Calgary, running their “Fuel for Gold” program, specializing in essentially healthy food for our athletes.

During my time in the food industry, things have changed considerably. Today consumers are way more educated in their tastes and have a basic knowledge of food and nutrition.

The part of my business that I most enjoy is the many chances I get to build relationships, celebrating life through good food. My philosophy is “Eat healthy, stay healthy.”

As an individual, I believe what sets me apart from others is my relaxed nature, commitment to a healthy environment, and the fact I am always accessible to my clientele.

I attribute my success to my fantastic team, loyal customer base, and my own vast experience in this field that has taught me how to lead from the front.

Achieving absolute customer satisfaction and building relationships that last generations has given me immense fulfillment over the years and continues to be a source of great inspiration.

When I am not at work, which as a business owner in the hospitality industry, is rare, I enjoy playing sports, especially soccer, and going out for coffee with my friends and family when time permits.

I have enjoyed sharing my story about the things that matter to me and how they influence my business.
